Expert Level of Pediatric Readiness

We’re thrilled to share Idaho Falls Community Hospital has officially been recognized as a statewide leader in emergency pediatric care. The hospital’s emergency department recently achieved an Expert Level of Pediatric Readiness by the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare’s program for Emergency Medical Services for Children. This distinction is held by only two hospitals across the state.

This recognition is a powerful vote of confidence from the state that our emergency department is ready for anything and fully prepared to stabilize and treat pediatric patients in emergency situations. Our Expert Level of Pediatric Readiness status is valid for three years.

A huge shoutout to every team member who played a role – whether in equipment readiness, training, policies or care. Your dedication made this possible and shows how far we’ve come since opening in 2019. Six years ago we did not exist, today, we have the highest level of recognition and we couldn’t be prouder.

Thank you for making Idaho Falls Community Hospital a place families can count on when it matters most.

Support the Future of Healthcare Workers in Southeast Idaho!

Idaho Healthcare Institute in partnership with Mountain View Hospital, Idaho Fall Community Hospital, and College of Eastern Idaho is committed to solving the nursing shortage in Southeast Idaho by delivering high-quality education to future healthcare professionals.
One of the most impactful ways we train Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students is through realistic, hands-on learning. To enhance our training program, we are seeking donations through Idaho Gives to purchase two SimuSuits and accessory sets.

What is a SimuSuit? (Photos Attached Below)
The SimuSuit is an innovative training tool designed to simulate the physical challenges of aging, chronic illness, or disability. These suits add realistic weight and resistance to mannequins, allowing students to practice care techniques on a body that mimics real-world conditions like limited mobility and reduced dexterity. This not only improves technical skills, but also fosters empathy and deeper understanding of patient experiences. By incorporating SimuSuits into our program, we will elevate this experience—helping students gain confidence, competence, and compassion before ever stepping into a healthcare facility.

How Can You Help?
As a nonprofit organization, we rely on community support to provide the best possible training. Your donation will go directly toward the purchase of SimuSuits, empowering students with tools that make learning more impactful and meaningful.
Every contribution, large or small, makes a difference!

Together with the College of Eastern Idaho, we are training record numbers of students and providing scholarship pathways into CNA, LPN and RN Bridge programs. Your support will directly impact the quality of CNA education we provide—and the quality of care our graduates will offer to patients in need.

Thank you for investing in the future of healthcare in our community. You can make a difference with any donation given!
