Volunteer FAQ

To get started volunteering at MVH or IFCH, please review our job descriptions and fill out a volunteer application.

We ask that volunteers commit to 100 hours within a 12 month period. When broken down, this commitment averages out to a 2 hour shift every week.

Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older.

Shift schedules depend on the area you would like to volunteer and your availability. We will do our best to help you find something to fit your needs and/or interests.

To ensure our patients’ and our volunteers’ safety, we require the following to be completed before you volunteer: volunteer application, background check, medical screening, onboarding and training. For all requirements please refer to the Volunteer Requirements page.

The Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you within 3 days of submitting your completed application. If you do not hear back within 3 days, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at ifchmvhvolunteer@gmail.com.

Please review our Volunteer Opportunities page for a full listing of available jobs.
